SPEAK Magazine
Pulling inspiration from the experimental designs of SPEAK magazine, I’ve created my own adaptation in response to Marshall McLuhan’s essay, “The Medium is the Massage”, using text and image to explore the interconnectedness of society in association to technology. “Innumerable confusions and a profound feeling of despair emerge in periods of great technological and cultural transitions”, says McLahan. Taking these words into account I present the imperfections of this shift through breaking, fragmenting, and reflecting shapes found within these images.
